Sensors have limits. Know them
Sensors have limits. Know them.
Leak Sensor Guide explains what leak sensors can and cannot detect, and how monitored systems fit into a leak strategy. Hardware sales are not offered through this site.
This site asks the hard question first: what can a sensor actually detect, and where does monitoring fall short?
What we investigate
Leak Monitoring Assessment
Before buying sensors, know where they help. The assessment maps high-risk points, checks what detection already exists, and shows where a monitored a…

- Describe the symptoms. Call or email with what you see, hear or smell, and when it appears.
- On-site investigation. Non-invasive methods narrow the search: acoustic, thermal, moisture, tracer gas or line tracing as needed.
- Confirm the source. Every clue is confirmed by a second method before it is reported.
- Written report. Findings, evidence, limitations and next steps, formatted for owners, managers and insurers.

Common questions
Do you sell sensors or hardware?
No. This site provides assessment and specification; hardware is supplied and installed by qualified installers.
Can a sensor find my leak?
No. Sensors detect water at their own location. Finding the source is investigation work.
Do I need sensors everywhere?
No. A small number of well-placed sensors at real risk points outperforms broad cheap coverage.
Will this work in my strata building?
Placement and integration planning applies to common property and equipment rooms; coordination goes through the council or manager.
